SONIA GANDHI
"Together we can face any challenges as deep as the ocean and as high as the sky."
A determined woman, with big dreams and an even bigger heart!
The first thing I typically hear at a session is “Wow, you look so young!” I am 30 years old. My passion for photography started somewhere in middle school and followed me through my life. As a senior in high school, I was part of the year book committee. Outside of school hours, I was still behind my camera lens taking photos for friends, family, and of nature. However, it has been a long journey to where I am now.
At 16 years old I was diagnosed with PCOS. I was constantly in pain and as my doctor described it, I was “always doubled over crawling into the office.” One major trait that’s associated with polycystic ovarian syndrome is infertility. After a couple surgeries and various medications, I was given a choice. Try to beat the odds and have a child OR have a hysterectomy. Both may have “fixed” some of my health issues, and I needed help.
Even though I had been accepted into college straight out of high school, I decided to put my dreams on hold. At 19 years old, I had my first born son.

Even though I had been accepted into college straight out of high school, I decided to put my dreams on hold. At 19 years old, I had my first born son.
Just months after his birth, I applied to another college and made it as far as orientation! However, I once again put my dreams on the back burner. Instead, I packed up my stuff and moved to Indiana to start my family and get married. Once settled down, I looked into IPFW and was meeting with the staff to discuss applying. It was then that I found out I was pregnant (SURPRISE!) with our second child! Another door was closed in return. While I don’t regret any of those decisions, they have led me up to today.
I realized after those events that my talents were self taught. While schooling could only help me, it was not something I needed to be successful at what I do. So, I invested my time and energy into my family and bettering my skill in other ways, outside of college.

Here I am today, a proud mother of three- two boys one girl! My husband and I recently celebrated our 9th anniversary of marriage. I have been doing photography professionally for over SIX years now, no degree needed! One thing I have discovered is I have a fire burning in my soul for the love of capturing moments and empowering clients. While I do photograph many "posed" sessions, my greatest pleasure is found capturing the joy and pure love in everyday life.

My children will only be little once. I only have so many days to help them create memories to last a life time. I only have one shot at making the most of their childhood. Eighteen years until adulthood seems like a lot, but in reality, it slips away quickly when you are the parent. I want my kids to have FUN. To EXPLORE. To be INNOCENT. To use their IMAGINATION. However, above all of this, I want to be PRESENT during these times. My family comes first.
In 2018 my family started two bucket lists: One for things my husband and I want to experience together, and the other for things we want to experience with our children. "The best memories can be built when one adventures into the unfamiliar!" (Quote by yours truly!)
I live for
At a very young age, I was sexually abused. I felt lost in my identity for many years. My confidence was shattered inside, though I acted fine outside. I battled depression and anxiety. I felt unworthy and unloved. As a result, today my biggest passion is boudoir photography. I love helping clients see how beautiful they are. I love watching them regain the confidence and break free from whatever is holding them back!
Women & non-binary welcome!
I live for
My goal in life is one that I will continue to have throughout all of my years. I want to capture memories that your heart longs to hang on to. Memories last a lifetime, but it's hard for others to visualize memories that don't belong to them. My hope is to capture these moments for you to share with your children, and your children to share with their children. Memories that are documented and become a part of your family story.

(I treat my clients like my best friend)
Family time!
Organization

Equity-in all aspects!
(Love is love! Do I need to say it louder?!)
Ditch those awkward sessions! Uncomfortable poses with the fake smiles and matching outfits...Yuck! Instead, book the session that will capture you. Your connection. Your beauty. Book the session that will leave you with images you want to share with the whole world. The session that provides you with images that make you want to scream in joy. Book the photographer you connect with!
Each session with me as the photographer, is sure to be different! First, let's get to know one another! Let me help you feel comfortable and confident during your session! Do you have kids? Don't worry! As a mother of two boys & a little girl, I know the struggles of parenthood well! (And how quickly they grow!!)
Booked a boudoir session, but not feeling your current body? It's normal, love! Almost all clients are where you are now. However, I will guide you into the most flattering poses to showcase your true beauty. How about a wedding and your parents don't get along? Same! Coming from a divorced family myself, I am skilled in working along side multiple families, rather than just one.
If you are looking for a photographer who is there for you, I'm your girl! I will help ease all of your worries and make each session go as smoothly as possible. After all, these are the memories your heart longs to hold on to!
All my love,
Hope Denton
